Well crew back from a long night partying with the wild folk, and I think i may have found a new BDSM Cheers.


Nightshade , link, located on Brudan, a class 5 Estate, the Nightshade Club opened in December 2007 and is owned by original owner Hub Hammerer and owner Caitlin Gunawan. They're original idea was to provide a comfortable, homey and intimate location where those in or curious about BDSM could gather and enjoy each others company.  Located in a massive Gothic castle the club itself boasts a "welcome home" atmosphere, providing comfortable furniture, tastefully erotic artwork with the focal point being a large fireplace which provides an at home feel. We have a large dance area for our nightly events with a dance ball full of great sinewave dances. Events are held daily at 1pm & 6pm SLT Tuesday -Saturday catering to both the European and USA evening crowds. Weekly regular events such as our D/s & M/s Singles Mixer on Tuesdays,  our Furry event  on Wednesdays and their Come as you are event  on Saturdays seems to be popular. Other events are usually themed contests.  The club features on-stage dancers for your entertainment if you don't feel like partying and the main hall is large enough to find a secluded corner to snuggle in with your partner and watch the events when you get tired of dancing.

The castle also features a number of BDSM/Fetish rooms such as our Spanking/Discipline room, Shibari rope bondage, lesbian, water sports and more. Around the outside of the castle is a vendor mall with related items for club goers.

Our guiding philosophy is that everyone should feel welcome and at home here.  Everything we do here is done with the goal to make the experience more pleasurable and enjoyable for our visitors. We're a friendly group and hope that when people leave here, they are impressed with how friendly and comfortable Nightshade is. Both Hub and Cait have been in SL for well over a year and both have SL experience in both submissive and Domme roles. We both have extensive SL training in especially the submissive roles, though both are Domme now. We understand the value of management and staff that are experienced, enthusiastic and friendly. We hire friendly, outgoing men and women with good emoting skills who share our vision of providing a friendly comfortable club. We have some who have extensive RL BDSM experience and others who's experience is limited to SL, but all share our vision.

Everyone who enters is greeted by our friendly staff, owners or even other members! It truly is a family type atmosphere and we're always happy to have more join our family! Our Nightshade Club group boasts almost 900 members, many who are here weekly or daily.

My thoughts:
 

1. Nice People.  Lots of friendly chatter.  I got the feeling of friends.. not a BDSM meat market.
    
2. Hot Hostess,,, Greeted everyone and made them feel at home.
3. Nice lay out.  To my taste I would have like to see some place to park the subs or some thing more.  Not a play area in the main bar, the upstairs rooms have all you need. Just a little more edgy.
4. Love the look and feel. Even though in my perfect Club I would want some more edginess to it, I do love the look and feel, the funiture, though on a couple of pieces I think they need adjusting , so I can POSE myself correctly, Hey at the club you have to look just so ,,  Right...  I loved the choice of the Big Woody chairs.
5. Dance floor just right.
6. Music -  I liked what was on. But I really need more time to Listen to the DJ to rate them.   But it was a good mix didn't take away from the conversations,  So I do have to say that even though I really didn't concentrate on the DJ's performance it was at least above average... no hard feelings I hope... and I think I'll be going back so maybe I can do an honest review of the DJ.
7. Didn't like the bull.  Sorry, Talked it over. Other people like it... it's just not me... it's a Gilley's style riding bull.... just not my taste in the Perfect BDSM club.
8. Playrooms are really decorated for Male Dom/ fem sub.  All the rooms are very nice with great equipment.  The stairs are bit hard on some floors as I am tall and  hit my head 3 times.  But the Pictures on the Walls are of these Hot sub Females.... I would like to see either a rotation of Fem Dom's and Fem Subs, or maybe a play area for the FemDom/male sub.    Yes I know the market is made up of mostly Male Dom's / fem subs but, this is my fantasy BDSM club.
9. OWK and other top groups attend.  I like to see members of quality groups attend events, it just demonstrates to me that it's a BDSM club not a club of posers.
10. Few escorts.  Nothing against the "ladies of the night" but that's not what this club feels like.   It's a BDSM Cheers pub.
11. Transporter outside the club. Awkward. I can see it being outside so you don't see who is hooking up. But for the new person to the club,,, too out of the way.

I like the small, I would lower the ceiling, feel.  No pressure, people make you feel at home, good conversation, don't feel lonely from the minute you walk in.  There's almost always someone there to talk to every time I've dropped by.   About 10 times for this article. And every time I was greeted by someone.  So either they got lucky, or their doing something right.  I wish them luck and the next time I go there I'll have my dancing shoes on not my work cloths.
